Production Operator

Recruitment of a production operator has been released by The City of Mississauga, they’re inviting applicants to share their application. Job Description 

  • Candidates who apply for this post are required to create and maintain the paperwork required to operate festivals or events.
  • Including plots, Input lists, cue lists, etc.
  • They’re accountable at this post to Work with clients and artists to ensure production requirements are met working at this post.
  • People accountable at this post to provide System troubleshooting and onsite repairs when required.
  • They’re also appointed to lead production crews in setups, operations and changeovers working at this post.
  • Candidates are required to follow best practices and ensure the safety of staff, venue and equipment at all times working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have experience with the setup and operation of production equipment and systems and must attain an understanding of signal flow and troubleshooting to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must have an understanding of the characteristics of different lighting, audio, or video protocols and how they function.
  • They must attain the ability to produce high-quality work quickly under pressure to be eligible for this post.
  • People must have dedicated working knowledge of standard computer and industry software such as MS Office, QLab, Capture, Workbench, etc.
  • Candidates must attain the ability to lift supplies and equipment such as lighting fixtures, staging decks, trusses, motors, and other production equipment to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • People must have advanced operational knowledge in at least one typical Production System like Digico, MA, ETC, Tricaster, or similar.
  • They must attain 1 to 3 years of experience operating consoles for festivals or events to be eligible for this post.
