Job description
- Candidates will liaise with the local community with respect to Canada Post service and products.
- They will sell and promote postal products and services to the public and businesses.
- They will administer the post office to meet retail hours of operation and delivery expectations.
- They will manage postal revenue, assets and values.
- They will maintain records and prepare reports.
- They assist with effective management of mail delivery routes.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have High School Diploma, or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration.
- They must owned or leased premises available one month prior to the date of hire.
- They must have experience interacting with the public in a retail and service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
- They must have knowledge of regulations, methods and procedures for processing mail as well as providing postal services.
Work setting
- Candidates must be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes.
