Job Description

  • Asset Support Technician role supporting water systems and site utilities
  • Works in outdoor and field environments across park locations
  • Involves inspections, monitoring and basic maintenance tasks
  • Supports asset performance and small project activities
  • Full-time term role for 6-12 months
  • May require travel, irregular hours and working in varied conditions

Responsibilities

  • Monitor water quality and collect samples
  • Review lab results and take corrective actions
  • Check and maintain facility equipment performance
  • Conduct safety and maintenance inspections
  • Record and report inspection findings
  • Prepare seasonal and year-end water reports
  • Analyze system performance and suggest improvements
  • Work with utility teams for maintenance and repairs
  • Assist with project tasks and progress tracking

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience inspecting built assets and identifying maintenance needs is required.
  • Experience managing medium-sized projects including monitoring and reporting is needed.
  • Experience using computer tools for data entry and reporting is required.
  • Knowledge of asset management and maintenance practices is expected.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater sampling procedures is required.
  • The knowledge of health and safety regulations needs to be learned because it is essential for proper operational performance.
  • The ability to conduct inspections and produce technical documentation establishes a fundamental requirement for this position.
  • The capacity to plan work activities together with handling several duties simultaneously stands as a crucial requirement.
  • The position requires professionals who can identify and resolve technical difficulties through effective troubleshooting methods.
  • The position requires professionals who have strong judgment abilities and teamwork capabilities and effective communication skills.
  • The applicant must possess a current Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to work in outdoor conditions, travel and work irregular hours.
  • Must be willing to obtain water treatment certification.
  • Must be able to obtain Reliability security clearance.
