Job Description
- This position is highly analytical with a primary focus on pilot reserve availability and resource planning.
- Co-ordinates with RAP planning and system support.
- Helps in piloting coverage while adhering to the stipulated contractual and regulatory standards.
- Very much involved with flight operations planning groups.
- Based in the office position of Toronto within Flight Operations Planning.
- Full-time job of around 40 hours every week
Responsibilities
- Assigns and plans Reserve Availability Periods (RAPs) for pilots on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis.
- Tracks pilot coverage on a daily basis and modifies reserve availability according to changes in operational requirements.
- Delivers RAP scheduling and rescheduling news promptly and accurately to pilots.
- Works with Crew Schedulers to achieve the best pilot deployment among fleets and bases with the least amount of reserve pilots.
- Checks daily and assures adherence to the regulations (CARs) and the contract (ALPA).
- Gives Crew Scheduling management coverage risk analysis and operational support.
Requirements
- A university degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in a 24/7 operation with shift work requirement.
- Knowledge of crew scheduling practices at a global airline level, including Air Canada.
- Ability to write reports and letters in a clear and professional manner
Knowledge in MS Excel. - Experience with crew scheduling systems
- Adaptable, self driven, and open to working overtime if necessary.
- Authorized to work in the country of employment.
- Bilingual candidates will be preferred in case of tie in qualifications.
