Job Description
- The candidate must provide bedside and personal care.
- The candidate must administer medications.
- The candidate will assist clients with bathing and other personal hygiene activities.
- The candidate will be expected to assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
- The candidate must change non-sterile dressings.
- The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
- The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- The candidate must provide companionship.
- The candidate must provide personal care.
- The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a College degree, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program that lasts three months or less than a year and involves working as a home health aide or home attendant.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
Work setting
- The employee should be able to work in the employer’s/client’s home and at various site locations. The specific period of progression is the annual review.
- The employer should cover the candidate’s relocation costs, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee’s relocation costs if the employee moves closer to the company’s offices or other work locations as required.
