Job Description

• The candidate must deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
• The candidate must operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must keep a record of items received and delivered.
• The candidate must load and unload goods.
• The candidate will be responsible for sorting packages for delivery.
• The candidate must be able to follow directions and read maps.
• The candidate must use maps and other trip planning tools.
• The candidate must record all trip-related information, including mileage, fuel expenses, and any issues.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have a Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate should be organized and flexible.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate must be punctual.

Work site environment

• The candidate must be able to operate motor vehicles.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in a courier company.

• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must finish the work within the given timeline.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to walk for long periods of time.

Own tools/equipment

• The candidate must have steel-toed safety boots and a cellular phone.
