Jealous Fruits Ltd based in Kelowna, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Packing Machine Set-up Operator who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. We are staunchly focused on quality at all levels of our vertically integrated firm. We scout the finest land for our orchards, plant only the most desirable varieties of cherries, and tend to the land in a very thoughtful, meticulous manner. The job is LMIA approved. The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to Full time or Seasonal employment. The shift timings include Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning and Morning

The candidate should know English

The candidate will be required to check machines to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
The candidate should ensure that packaged materials are appropriately stored and further packed in proper boxes.
The candidate will be required to inspect and remove defective items or those that do not meet packaging standards.
The candidate should ensure ensure that packaged products meet safety and quality specifications.
The candidate should have a clear understanding of basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance.
The candidate should have a clear understanding of health and safety standards and protocols.
The candidate should have excellent organizational and time management skills.
The candidate should have an eye for details.
The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
The candidate would be responsible in moving of completed boxes of products to the correct inventory area.
The candidate should reset machines in cases of malfunctions and clear jams.
The candidate will be required to set up and operate packaging machines to display accurate code, dates and weights.
The candidate will be required to load items into packaging machines and adjust speed, flow, and temperature.
The candidate should stock products such as raw materials and packaging materials.
The candidate must handle startup and shut down duties pertaining to packaging equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
The candidate will be required to load and unload items into packaging machines and remove rejected packages to be isolated as surplus.
The candidate would be responsible for grading, sorting and packing of produce into containers.
The candidate will be required to maintain documents regarding packaging activities on a daily basis and report machinery faults immediately.
The candidate will be required to create daily reports regarding packaged products and storage and delivery orders
The candidate will be required to manipulate machine controls in order to reduce packing material waste.
The candidate would be in charge of attaching identification labels to finished items and counting them to ensure that they are in accordance with the initial order.
