Job Description
- The candidate will work under the direction of a Shift Supervisor or Program Coordinator as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing direct and comprehensive nursing care to clients at The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre.
- The candidate will provide on-site, community, outreach, and ancillary mental health services that positively impact the lives of youth, families, and communities.

Job Requirements
- The candidate must be registered or eligible for immediate registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- The candidate must have experience working with adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- The candidate should have 1 or more years of work experience in adolescent psychiatry.
- The candidate must hold valid Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and AED certification.
- The candidate must hold Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 certification.
- The candidate must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Driverโs License with no restrictions and meet the transportation requirements of the Ministry.
- The candidate must be able to work shift schedules, including days, evenings, midnights, and weekends, as this is a 24-hour facility.
- The candidate must be able to work with youth in distress and challenging situations, including exposure to difficult behaviours from clients who may be angry, abusive, or abused.
- The candidate must be able to travel as part of job responsibilities.
- The candidate must provide First Aid coverage and medical assistance to staff as required under WorkSafe BC guidelines.
- The candidate must reside in British Columbia at the time employment begins with the BC Public Service.
