Job Description
- The candidate must maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, and peripheral equipment.
- The candidate must evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing problem-solving services to network users.
- The candidate will be responsible for implementing data, software, and hardware security procedures.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing routine network start-up and shutdown procedures, as well as maintaining control records.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- The candidate will be responsible for setting up local area networks and internet connections.
- The candidate will be responsible for implementing network traffic and security monitoring software, as well as optimizing server performance.
- The candidate will be responsible for modifying web pages, applets, and scripts.
- The candidate must research and apply meta-data to websites, as well as register them with search engines.
- The candidate must respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing Web server backup and recovery operations.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising technical staff.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 5 to 10 people.
- The candidate should be accurate.
