Job Description 

  • Candidates are appointed to provide excellent customer service at all times to the public, including school groups, visiting artists, community groups and other stakeholders working at this post.
  • They’re appointed at this post to assist with the execution of special events, including event set up and tear down, leading on-site activities, providing parking support and traffic direction, and assisting event organizers.
  • People who applied for this post are also required to operate a point-of-sale terminal and follow cash handling procedures for admissions and donations working at this post.
  • They’re appointed at this post to follow the schedule of cleaning and upkeep of historic house interiors.
  • People applying for this post are also required to perform research and gather information about the organization.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain experience leading educational programming for children and adults.
  • People must have experience in supporting the development and delivery of special events to be eligible for this post.
  • People must have completed or be enrolled in a post-secondary education program in History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Museum Studies, Cultural Studies, Fine Arts, Education or related fields.
  • Candidates must know historical information related to Mississauga and must have cash-handling experience to be eligible for this post.
  • People must have emergency or standard First Aid with CPR B or C certification along with a high Five Principles of Healthy Child Development certification to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • They must have a valid G-class driver’s license and access to a vehicle to be eligible for this post.
