Job Description

  • The candidate must assess clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services.
  • The candidate will be responsible for the housekeeping activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for food preparation.
  • The candidate must be able to resolve conflict situations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing behavior management programs.
  • The candidate must communicate with other social service agencies and health care providers who are involved with clients.
  • The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
  • The candidate must complete Mandt System training and have Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Medication Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate must be flexible.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
