Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing the implementation of HLBC business transformation projects to integrate HLBC nursing services with the health system and support long-term organizational priorities.
- The candidate will be responsible for identifying and maintaining collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, partners, and vendors to achieve organizational goals and advance new initiatives for online and telephone health services.
- The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and identifying social, economic, legal, and other issues related to transformation project objectives, assessing competing priorities, identifying risks and issues, and recommending strategic policy alternatives or significant changes to program operations or service delivery.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to contracted nursing professionals, facilitating the resolution of operational issues and employee conflicts, and ensuring effective methods are in place to support employee recognition, morale, and motivation.
- The candidate will be responsible for assessing critical situations and providing advice and recommendations to professional staff regarding appropriate courses of action.
- The candidate will be responsible for attending meetings with internal and external stakeholders to share nursing services perspectives, provide recommendations, and identify opportunities for service transformation, enhancement, and improvement based on assessments of issues and trends.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading local, regional, and provincial initiatives and projects that evaluate and advance nursing service delivery and identify opportunities for service integration across the healthcare continuum.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring performance and assessing the cost effectiveness of business process review initiatives and projects.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing service delivery contracts and providing approval for satisfactory contract performance.
- The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with PHSA Human Resources to represent the Employer and respond to grievances at Steps 2 and 3 of the process while actively contributing to grievance resolution and the initiation of disciplinary processes.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, including hiring, assigning work, providing coaching, managing performance through the development and evaluation of performance plans, managing attendance, and approving leave in accordance with organizational policies and collective agreements.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have a degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or Public Health Administration, along with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
- The candidate will be considered if they possess an equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience.
- The candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of recent experience (within the last six (6) years) in a progressive leadership role within large, complex, multi-disciplinary service delivery operations.
- The candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of recent experience (within the last six (6) years) collaborating with multiple stakeholders and broader sector partner groups.
- The candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of recent experience (within the last six (6) years) working with service delivery contracts and union collective agreements.
- Preference may be given to applicants who have a master’s degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or Public Health Administration.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience working in service operations within a clinical setting or environment.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience in project management.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience leading organizational change in a unionized environment.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience working in a complex, multidisciplinary contact center delivering digital services and engaging with partners.
- Preference may be given to applicants with human resources management experience, including supervising employees, coaching, performance planning, and performance management in a unionized setting.
