Job description
- Candidates will inspect troubleshooting repairing and replacing mechanical components in this motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts as well as bearings and transfer plates are included.
- They will troubleshoot, adjust and replace AC and DC electrical equipment like batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches and timers.
- They are responsible for inspecting troubleshooting repairing and replacing pneumatic equipment.
- They are responsible for welding equipment such as hand rails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts and grating.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- They must have possession of a valid 433A Millwright or 442A Industrial Electrician Certification.
- They must have minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience performing maintenance on industrial equipment.
- They must have the ability to receive and give instruction over radio in industrial environment.
- They must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Work setting
- Candidates must have experience of performing maintenance on conveyor belts.
- They must have knowledge of plumbing and building schematics.
- They must have knowledge of keyboard and basic computer skills.
