Job description
- All candidates will load and unload postal vehicles while keeping mail and Canada Post property safe and secure at all times.
- They will collect, sort and deliver mail.
- They will also operate portable communications devices.
- They also have to perform vehicle safety checks.
- Candidates will complete documentation and maintain records.
- They have to communicate with customers and the public.
- They are also responsible for shuttle corporate delivery vehicles between parking locations and loading platforms to facilitate pre-loading.
Job requirement
- All candidates must have a valid Class 5, 3/D driver’s licence.
- They also must have a safe driving record for at least 3 years.
- They also must have experience in customer service.
- Candidates must have experience as professional drivers in commercial delivery.
Work setting
- All candidates must have physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb).
- Candidates must have experience driving a 5 ton truck or larger.
- They also must have availability to work on short notice Priority given to Drivers with class 1, 3 or 5 driver’s licences with Air Brakes Endorsement.
