Task-co Building Maintenance Inc., situated in Oshawa, ON, is currently looking for applications for a light-duty cleaner who is self-motivated and has excellent interpersonal skills. The selected candidate will be expected to start work promptly. The available positions are Permanent or part-time, leading to a full-time job. The candidate must work on the evening shift.

Job Description

  • The candidate must sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
  • The candidate must dust furniture.
  • The candidate will vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • The candidate will be expected to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting elevators.
  • The candidate must handle and report lost and found items.
  • The candidate must provide basic facility information.
  • The candidate will be responsible for picking up debris and emptying trash cans.
  • The candidate must clean the windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • The candidate must clean windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • The candidate must move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • The candidate must clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • The candidate will water and maintain plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • The candidate must sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs.
  • The candidate must be able to use industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other waste.
  • The candidate must empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for making minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems and contacting tradespersons for major repairs.
  • The candidate must perform other routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and drywall repair.
