Job Description
- Candidates at this post are appointed to load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle working at this post.
- Applicants at this post must have to spend most of the day outside, delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle to customers’ route to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates at this post are also appointed to return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery to get preferred for this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates for this post must attain the ability to work in all types of weather to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must ensure their availability to be on-call along with the ability to read, write and speak English and/or French to get preferred for this post.
- They must have prior experience in customer service along with dedicated experience making deliveries or working as a driver.
- Candidates must have a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years to be considered as an asset for this post.
- Applicants must attain prior physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg regularly to be eligible for this post.
