Job Description
- The candidate will be required to coordinate and support city-wide learning and development initiatives, programs, and training activities.
- The candidate will be required to support leadership development, employee engagement, recognition, and team development initiatives across the organization.
- The candidate will be required to design, develop, and maintain learning resources, training materials, job aids, and just-in-time learning solutions.
- The candidate will be required to create and support eLearning and blended learning content to enhance organizational learning offerings.
- The candidate will be required to support the planning and delivery of learning initiatives and training sessions for employees and leadership teams.
- The candidate will be required to assist with instructional design activities and support the development of practical and engaging learning experiences.
- The candidate will be required to maintain learning records, training data, reporting, and related documentation.
- The candidate will be required to coordinate with external consultants, facilitators, and subject matter experts to support organizational initiatives and training delivery.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting internal communications related to learning and organizational development initiatives.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting with organizational development projects, workforce development initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- The candidate will be responsible for building collaborative working relationships with employees, leaders, and stakeholders across departments to support learning and development objectives.
- The candidate will be responsible for contributing to initiatives that support employee growth, organizational capability, and a positive employee experience across the City.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have a minimum of 3–5 years of related experience in organizational development, learning and development, instructional design, training coordination, employee engagement, facilitation, or related organizational initiatives.
- The candidate must possess post-secondary education in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Learning and Development, Organizational Behaviour, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The candidate must demonstrate experience designing and coordinating corporate learning programs, training initiatives, and development activities.
- The candidate must have experience developing learning resources, training materials, and supporting instructional design initiatives.
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate experience in delivering or assisting with workshops, training programs, and learning activities.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong stakeholder relationship management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and teams.
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, coordination, and interpersonal abilities.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a dynamic and evolving environment.
- The candidate must have experience working with digital learning tools, eLearning platforms, and/or instructional design software.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding an Insights Discovery Practitioner certification.
- The candidate with experience in a public sector or unionized environment will be considered an asset.
- The candidate with a CPHR designation will be considered an asset.
- The candidate with experience supporting workforce development and organizational effectiveness initiatives will be considered an asset.
