Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to clean and dry garments, draperies, cushion covers, sheets, blankets, furs, and other articles using dry cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow drying machines.
  • The candidate will be expected to sort the laundry items by material and colour.
  • The candidate will be required to mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals.
  • The candidate will be required to use machines to dye, spray, re-oil, and re-buff suede and leather garments.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date inventory of laundry detergents and sewing kits.
  • The candidate will be required to remove stains from items using the proper procedures.
  • The candidate will be responsible for keeping the facility clean at all times.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing laundry equipment.
  • The candidate will be required to regulate machine processes when starting washers, driers, and dry cleaners, as well as turn levels and valves to control the volume of additives, specific cycles, and temperature.
