Job Description

• The candidate must assist with landscape construction.
• The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
• The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
• The candidate must lay sod or seed.
• The candidate must plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and bulbs.
• The candidate will be responsible for watering and maintaining plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing.

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate should be client focused.

Work site environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

• The candidate must be able to work as a landscape contractor.
• The candidate will be required to work in various locations.
• The candidate must work in a greenhouse, a private home, and a farm.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have prior experience operating a chainsaw, pick-up truck, gravel or dump truck, and skidsteer.

Construction specialization

• The candidate must be skilled in the construction of ornamental ponds, fountains, and waterfalls.

Parts specialization

• The candidate must be familiar with carpentry/woodworking machinery.

• The candidate should undergo a thorough driver’s licence validity check, and driving record check (abstract).
