Job Description

The candidate must assist with landscape construction.
The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
The candidate must cut grass.
The candidate must rake and collect trash.
The candidate must remove garbage and litter.
The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
The candidate must lay sod or seed.
The candidate must plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and bulbs.
The candidate must apply fertilizers.
The candidate must be able to maintain and repair equipment.
The candidate will be responsible for watering and maintaining plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
The candidate must operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
The candidate must remove trees.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
The candidate should be dependable.
The candidate should be reliable.

Work site environment

The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work in hot conditions.

The candidate must work in both urban and rural areas.
The candidate must be able to work as a landscape contractor.
The candidate will be required to work in various locations.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have experience operating chainsaws, pickup trucks, rototillers, small engine equipment, tractor mowers, and weed trimmers/edgers.

Specialization or experience

The candidate must be knowledgeable about the green economy sector.

Additional information

Security and safety

The candidate’s driver’s licence should be thoroughly checked for validity.

Transportation/travel information

Employer will provide the vehicle.
The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
