Job Description
- The candidate must interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation.
- The candidate must read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements.
- The candidate must manage landscaping projects.
- The candidate must estimate costs.

- The candidate must survey and evaluate designated sites.
- The candidate must water and care for plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- The candidate must apply various treatments, such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting treatment solutions.
- The candidate must assess the health of lawns.
- The candidate will be responsible for inspecting trees and shrubs to identify problems and diseases.
- The candidate must plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental purposes, and other purposes.
- The candidate must plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
- The candidate must plant and move trees.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years in duration.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must hold the following certifications: Horticulturist Trade Certification, Landscape Gardener Trade Certification, Landscape Architecture Technologist Certificate, Landscape Architecture Technician Certificate, Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) Certification, Certified Landscape Horticulturist Technician (CLHT), and a Chemical Application Certificate or Licence.
