Job Summary

  • The candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in a high-risk environment, such as operating heavy machinery and handling hazardous materials.
  • The candidate will be required to operate a variety of equipment, including a dolly, a high-pressure washing machine, a shovel, and a wheelbarrow.
  • The candidate will be required to drive a variety of vehicles such as trucks, forklifts, and cranes.
  • The candidate will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment.
  • The candidate will be required to work with soaps, caustic solutions, and fuel oil.
  • The candidate will be responsible for inspecting track, lubricating rolling stock wheel bearings, and maintaining switch signal lamps.
  • The candidate will be required to clear brush and tall grass from railway crossings using handheld tools and equipment.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep tools and equipment in good working order.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English or French language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of High School diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A candidate with vocational/technical training and/or knowledge of rail operating rules is an asset.
  • The candidate should have valid driver’s licence.
