Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for providing direct instruction, leadership, and program management within an assigned area of activity or interest.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing the room and equipment required for instruction before each session.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing course outlines that include class content and learning objectives.
  • The candidate will be responsible for welcoming participants and providing accurate and enthusiastic feedback throughout the course.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records and preparing required reports.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring program equipment is safely stored after each class.
  • The candidate will be required to attend scheduled in-service training sessions.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must have completed Grade 10.
  • The candidate will be required to hold a current Tennis Canada Instructor Level certification.
  • The candidate must possess a minimum of three months of experience in tennis instruction or a related field.
  • The candidate must possess valid Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certifications.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong instructional abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to deliver safe, organized, and engaging programs.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • The candidate must obtain and maintain a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector screening dated within the last six months.
