Job Description

  • Applicants interested in this post are responsible for designing, teaching and evaluating creative introductory to advanced instructional programs in theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and multimedia arts for all ages working at this post.

Job requirement

  • They must have a working knowledge of general registration and visitor procedures.
  • Applicants must attain knowledge of local arts organizations and school board curriculum to be eligible for this post.
  • They must acquire Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates along with dedicated AODA Customer Service/IASR Training and completed at least high-five training courses to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have completed of university/college degree in Fine Arts, Art History and education in one or more of the following arts disciplines: theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, or multi-media arts or equivalent years of art experience.
  • People interested in this post must have a minimum of 5 years of practising and teaching experience in related arts disciplines to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must attain previous experience working with all ages in an arts instructional setting to be considered an asset for this post.

Work setting

  • They must have strong oral and communication skills and must attain the ability to convey enthusiasm and creative energies about related disciplines to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must be sensitive to the needs of various age groups and their learning abilities.
  • They must have creative program development and the ability to work well with others to be eligible for this post.
