Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are responsible for their safety and that of their co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • They’re also accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes working at this post. 
  • They’re also appointed at this post to be assigned to other locations to assist other areas when required and will be expected to travel throughout the province.
  • Candidates for this post are also required to participate in regulatory training and be willing to participate in on-the-job training or training programs that support the development of additional skills.
  • Applicants at this post are required to work effectively as a member of the Electrical and Instrumentation Team and be capable of functioning in a planned work environment working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain certification as a Journeyman Industrial Electrician with at least 2 years of experience with troubleshooting electrical equipment to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates for this post must have prior certification as a construction Electrician to be eligible for this post.
  • They must acquire prior problem-resolution skills and the flexibility and ability to adapt to rescheduled assignments to be preferred for this post.
  • Candidates for this post must be strong team players with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong computer aptitude and the ability to deal with multiple tasks and demands to get preferred for this post.

Work setting 

  • They must acquire a valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License with a minimum of two years of driving experience to get preferred for this post
