Job Description

The candidate must empty trash cans and other waste containers.
The candidate must clean windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
The candidate will be responsible for making minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as contacting tradespersons for significant repairs.
The candidate must move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
The candidate must perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair.
The candidate must clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
The candidate must work with minimal supervision.
The candidate must repair minor defects.
The candidate must perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades or equivalent experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must have a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, a First Aid Certificate, Carpenter Trade Certification, and a Painting Certificate (15-week course).
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
The candidate should be dependable.
The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
The candidate should be organized and flexible.
The candidate must be capable of acting independently and taking the initiative.
