The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The open positions pertain to the Seasonal employment or Part time leading to full time job. Job Description

  • The candidate must clean the crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cutting horticultural crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for greenhouse cleaning.
  • The candidate must mix fertilizer.
  • The candidate will be responsible for seed cutting.
  • The candidate must tie and secure plants.
  • The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
  • The candidate must mix and prepare soils.
  • The candidate must plant bulbs and seeds.
  • The candidate must pot and re-pot plants.
  • The candidate must be able to transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings.
  • The candidate must apply fertilizers.
  • The candidate must report any signs of insect or disease damage.
  • The candidate will be responsible for watering and maintaining plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • The candidate must clean the work area.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • The type of farm operations are floriculture production.
  • The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp and hot conditions.
  • The work environment is smoke-free.

Experience and specialization

Type of product

  • Products include ferns, perennials, bedding plants, seasonal plants, tropical plants, and vegetables.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating mechanical seeders and sprayers.
