Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for manipulating sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling operations, as well as during the removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits.
• The candidate will be responsible for handling, sorting, and moving drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning up rig areas.
• The candidate will be responsible for assisting in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment.
• The candidate must drive trucks to transport materials and well-service equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must have Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) Basic Safety Orientation (BSO) Certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Confined Space Entry Training Certification, and Rig Worker Fall Protection Certification.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp and hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

• The candidate should be subjected to a thorough medical examination and drug test.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must have their own transportation.
• The candidate must have their own vehicle.
• The candidate must be willing to travel.
• The candidate must be willing to travel frequently.
• The candidate must be willing to travel for extended periods.
• There is no access to public transportation.

• The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.
