Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for sorting, piling and transporting wood products.
  • The candidate must remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing.
  • The candidate will be required to load chips, sulphur, and processing materials.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist other processing workers.
  • The candidate must feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines.
  • The candidate will be required to transport processed wood products, such as plywood, chipboard sheets and panels to work areas.
  • The candidate will be responsible for checking and maintaining equipment
  • The candidate will be expected to test equipment in order to locate transmission faults.
  • The candidate must keep an accurate record of job operations as well as an up-to-date inventory.
  • The candidate will be expected to ensure proper waste disposal after job operations are completed.
  • The candidate will be required to clean the work areas and equipment

  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate will be required to work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
