Job Description

The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the crop.
The candidate will be in charge of grading.
The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the greenhouse.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting vegetables by hand.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting seedlings.
The candidate will be in charge of hoeing crops.
The candidate will be in charge of mixing fertiliser.
The candidate will be expected to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
The candidate will be in charge of seed cutting.
The candidate will be in charge of vegetable culling.
The candidate will be in charge of weeding.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate will be expected to inspect the product for quality and prepare it for market.
The candidate will be responsible for sorting and packing fruits and vegetables.
The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
The candidate will be expected to clean the work area.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and 45 kg (100 lbs).
The candidate must be flexible.
The candidate should be a good team player.
The candidate should be reliable.

Work site environment

Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming and other vegetables and melon farming (except potato).
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work in hot conditions.

Crops include bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, garlic, ginger, melons, onions, raspberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, zucchini, and potatoes.

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have prior experience with a carrot seeder, onion seeder, farm truck, fertiliser applicator, planting equipment, seed drill, sprayer or duster, tractor, and vegetable harvester.
