Job Description

  • The candidate must clean the crop.
  • The candidate will be responsible for grading.
  • The candidate must mix fertilizer.
  • The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilising and spraying crops.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate must maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist in routine equipment maintenance and repair.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • The candidate must be flexible.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate should be reliable.

Work site environment

  • Farm operations include dry pea and bean farming, oilseed (except soybean) farming, other grain farming, soybean farming, and wheat farming.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

  • Accommodation facilities are available to the candidate.
  • The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.
  • The candidate’s relocation expenses will be covered by the employer.
  • The candidate must work in farm.

Experience and specialization

Type of crops

  • The crops are soybeans.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience operating a combine harvester, farm truck, fertilizer applicator, loader, planting equipment, seed drill, sprayer or duster, swather, tillage equipment, tractor, farm machinery, and forklift.

Product inspection experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience inspecting grains.

Area of specialization

  • The candidate must be an expert in truck driving.
