Job Description

  • The candidate must diagnose livestock health issues.
  • The candidate must be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate must mark livestock as proof of ownership.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the calving process.
  • The candidate must monitor animal health.
  • The candidate will be responsible for feeding livestock.
  • The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate must prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving.
  • The candidate will be responsible for tracking and reporting on current feed inventories.
  • The candidate will be responsible for treating livestock health issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and spraying crops.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.

  • The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
  • The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating various farm equipment, including harvesters, seed drills, tractors, combine harvesters, farm trucks, loaders, manure spreaders, planting equipment, swather, tillage equipment, welding, skidsteers, and hand tools.
