Job Description

The candidate must develop specific plans to prioritize.
The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing livestock health issues.
The candidate will be responsible for directing agricultural crop deleafing activities.
The candidate will be responsible for directing farm feed inventory activities.
The candidate must harvest seedlings.
The candidate must mark livestock to prove ownership.
The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the calving process.
The candidate must monitor animal health.
The candidate must organize tasks to complete the work.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the activities of clearing the fields.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising milking operations to ensure that the work is completed correctly.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
The candidate must provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
The candidate must ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
The candidate must maintain livestock performance records.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
The candidate must supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising and overseeing growing and other crop-related operations.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
The candidate must be well-organized.
The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming (including feedlots), chicken farming, goat farming, livestock combination farming, other grain farming, dairy farming, and poultry and egg production.
The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work setting

The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
