Job Description

The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the crop.
The candidate will be in charge of fruit tree training.
The candidate will be in charge of grading.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting vegetables by hand.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting seedlings.
The candidate will be in charge of hoeing crops.
The candidate will be expected to maintain and manage vine growth, vine canopy, and grapes.
The candidate will be in charge of mixing fertiliser.
The candidate will be expected to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
The candidate will be in charge of seed cutting.
The candidate will be in charge of soil fertility programmes.
The candidate will be in charge of vegetable culling.
The candidate will be in charge of weeding.
The candidate will be required to fertilise and spray crops.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
The candidate will be required to write basic progress reports on a daily basis.
The candidate will be required to install and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Candidate having experience is an asset.
The candidate should be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming and other miscellaneous crop farming.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions.
The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

Accommodation will be provided for the candidate.
The candidate must be willing to work in rural and remote areas.
The candidate’s relocation expenses will not be covered by the employer.
