Job Description
- The candidate must sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs.
- The candidate must empty trash cans and other waste containers.
- The candidate must clean windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
- The candidate will be responsible for making minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as contacting tradespersons for significant repairs.
- The candidate must contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing minor repairs to appliances.
- The candidate must perform security and safety checks.
- The candidate will be responsible for showing offices and apartments to prospective tenants.
- The candidate must move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- The candidate must perform other routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and drywall repair.
- The candidate must clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
- The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- The candidate must clear snow and ice from walkways and parking lots.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the French language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should be dependable.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible.
- The candidate must be capable of acting independently and taking the initiative.
- The candidate should have good judgmental skills.
- The candidate should be reliable.
Work setting
- The candidate should be able to work in an apartment/condominium or an office building with two or more individually owned units.
- The candidate should work in the industrial area with facilities such as factories, plants, processing operations, and similar operations.
Experience and specialization
Equipment
- The candidate must have experience in operating industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, carpet cleaning machines, power tools, power lawn mowers, upholstery cleaning equipment, and snowblowers.
