Job Description
- A technical role responsible for operating and monitoring heating plant systems within RCMP facilities.
- The job requires a full-time employee who will work in Regina Saskatchewan to provide assistance to the Technical Services Unit. The job requires monitoring heating plant equipment while maintaining safe and efficient operations of all systems.
- Work is performed on-site, with no telework or alternate work locations available.
- Position may contribute to maintaining operational infrastructure for RCMP buildings and services.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor heating plant systems and related equipment.
- Maintain heating infrastructure to support RCMP facility operations.
- Inspect plant systems and ensure they function safely and efficiently.
- Follow operational procedures and safety protocols during plant operations.
- Coordinate with technical services teams to support facility maintenance needs.
- Report operational issues and assist in maintaining reliable heating services.
- Support the ongoing operation of RCMP infrastructure and facility systems.
Requirements
- A valid Canadian driver’s license which matches the requirements of Saskatchewan Class 5 must be held by the applicant.
- The applicant needs to acquire and retain RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status security clearance which requires them to maintain this status.
- The Third Class Power Engineering certification which the candidate needs must be obtained for this job.
- The candidate needs to demonstrate experience in operating and maintaining central high pressure steam plants together with their associated distribution systems.
- The candidate needs to demonstrate experience in working with programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems.
- The candidate needs to demonstrate their ability to work at heights by using ladders and scaffolds and aerial work platforms.
- The employee needs to be available for work-related travel and required training programs.
- The candidate needs to demonstrate physical capability to handle tasks which involve lifting and carrying and climbing and bending and crouching while handling loads up to 25 kilograms.
- The employee needs to be available for work during shift times and to perform overtime and standby work when required with short notice.
- The employee needs to perform their job duties outside during conditions which involve extreme weather.
