Job Description
- Facility Attendant 2 supports event operations and visitor services at City cultural facilities.
- This is a part time indefinite position with up to 28 hours per week.
- Staff work rotating weekday, evening and weekend shifts across multiple Toronto locations.
- The role takes place in museums, galleries, heritage sites and public event spaces.
- Employees work in a people focused environment with event teams, volunteers and visitors.

Responsibilities
- Assist with building security along with fire safety and evacuation procedures.
- Share event details to volunteer ushers and staff.
- Respond to assistance requests from rental clients and visitors.
- Help with front of house services and concession preparation.
- Process basic financial transactions and registrations.
- Perform light custodial duties across facilities.
- Remove waste, shovel snow and salt walkways.
- Open, close and monitor facilities during operating hours.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions and fire drills.
Requirements
- Work history in direct customer service delivery is required.
- Work history in rental facilities or event spaces is required.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of ActiveNet or similar systems is required.
- Career background in arts, culture or heritage settings is strongly preferred.
- Must have Grade 12 education or an equivalent mix of education and work history.
- Must show strong attention to detail and procedures.
- Strong interaction skills and teamwork skills are required.
- Must have good problem solving skills and sound judgement.
- Must be flexible, reliable and punctual.
- Can work solo and keep that self motivated vibe going.
- Needs to have a valid First Aid Certificate.
- Must be willing to get one before starting.
- Can lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
