Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are appointed to perform minor repairs including the replacement of gearboxes, sprockets, chains, doors, and panels.
- They’re also appointed to perform visual inspections of buildings to maintain Building Code standards.
- Candidates will also have to do repair and maintenance on the HVAC unit.
- They’re appointed to ensure that all work is completed safely and complies with applicable industry standards.
- Candidates are also appointed to perform other facility-related duties as requested.
- They’re required to be team-oriented individuals with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and self-directed.
Job requirement
- Candidates must possess a valid Driver’s license with a clean abstract to be eligible for this post.
- They must possess an Interprovincial Journeyman Millwright license or Red Seal.
- Candidates must attain a minimum of 3 years of field experience to be eligible for this post.
- They must have dedicated knowledge of building mechanics, Hangar door systems, control systems, BMS systems, Mechanical system operation, MIG welding, and CMMS.
- Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be detail-oriented to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must acquire basic computer knowledge like Word, Excel, e-mail and the Internet to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations depending on the work location to be eligible for this post.
