Job Description

  • The candidate is expected to demonstrate empathy and kindness, taking the time to understand the circumstances, motivators, and concerns of both colleagues and clients.

  • The candidate should use their own advice capabilities, along with the right partner in the RBC ecosystem, to meet clients’ full range of personal and business financial needs.
  • The candidate should provide professional advice and education, addressing complex credit and investments while ensuring solutions match client needs and financial circumstances.
  • The candidate will promote digital engagement while ensuring clients receive the right advice and support.
  • The candidate will make effective use of technology to connect with clients both virtually and face to face.
  • The candidate will implement effective contact and relationship-building strategies to support new client acquisition and retention in the local community.
  • The candidate must collaborate with market-leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking experts to ensure clients receive customized and relevant expert advice.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must hold a valid Mutual Funds accreditation, such as Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
  • The candidate must have completed the Certificate of Achievement in Personal Finance from the Canadian Securities Institute (i.e., Fundamentals of Personal Finance – Quebec, Investment and Taxation Fundamentals – Quebec, Insurance and Retirement – Quebec).
  • The candidate must have 1-2 years of proven sales experience in financial services, with exposure to credit and investments.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to build trust and sustain long-term client relationships.
  • The candidate must be digitally literate and comfortable using smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices.
  • The candidate must be active in developing strong network within the local community.
  • The candidate will be required to communicate fluently in both English and French.
