Job Description

The candidate will be required to test and observe electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and systems using testing and measuring instruments.
The candidate will be required to perform on-site servicing and repair.
The candidate will be expected to troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
The candidate will be required to replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
The candidate will be required to perform some machining in order to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts.
The candidate will be required to test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear.
The candidate will be required to test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.
The candidate will be required to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes in order to evaluate quality or performance.
The candidate will be required to wind, assemble, and install various types of coils for electric motors or transformers.
The candidate will be responsible for reading, interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications and adhering to instructions and operating manuals.
The candidate will be required to fabricate or recondition parts using machining tools.
The candidate must specialise in working with specific types of equipment, such as electric motors or transformers, or in performing specific functions, such as winding coils.
When performing work, the candidate will be expected to follow all company safety rules and regulations.
The candidate will be required to perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors by welding, brazing, or soldering electrical connections and aligning and adjusting parts.
