Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for instructing apprentices.
• The candidate will be responsible for supervising other workers.
• The candidate must apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• The candidate must apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and preparing surfaces.
• The candidate will be responsible for curing freshly plastered surfaces.
• The candidate will be responsible for cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect the exterior corners.
• The candidate will be responsible for finishing corners and angles, as well as creating decorative designs in finish coat as needed.
• The candidate will be responsible for mixing plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
• The candidate must cut openings in the lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
• The candidate must prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
