Job description
- All candidates will collect driver route sheets, truck assignments, driver manifest, member invoices, audit notes, resale cards, mobile phone and map book.
- They will also conduct safety inspections of delivery trucks. Visually inspect pallets in trucks to ensure the correct number is loaded.
- Candidates have to drive delivery trucks.
- They will be responsible for reviewing invoices to locate merchandise to be delivered and also cuts shrink wrap from pallets and removes merchandise from trucks with manual pallet jack.
- They have to verify and confirm with members all items and item quantities delivered.
- Candidates have to check with members for approval of any substitutions made and obtain appropriate signatures and payments from members.
- They are responsible for calling the Business Centre to arrange delivery for any missing items.
- They also have to ensure loads of damaged or refused items onto trucks for return to the Business Centre and issues return receipts.
- They have to assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks at the Business Centre when necessary.
Job requirement
- All candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid class D licence with air brake (Z) endorsement is required.
- Valid class 3 licence with air brake (F) endorsement is also required.
- They must have a level 1 Costco Food Safety Certificate.
- Delivery experience is also preferred.
Work settings
- Candidates must be good at map reading.
- They have to ensure safety all the time.
- They also must have experience of commercial driving.
