Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for feeding and caring for animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for operating milking equipment to milk cows.
  • The candidate should regularly monitor animal health.
  • The candidate should be able to perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate will be required to clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
  • The candidate must ensure that all farming and milking equipment is properly maintained.
  • The candidate should have knowledge and capability to operate farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate will be required to work in conjunction with large animal vets to provide herd health management, veterinary treatments, and routine vaccinations.
  • The candidate will be required to consult with animal nutritionists and livestock feed sales representatives to create feeding plans that yield maximum milk production levels.
  • The candidate will be required to identify sick animals and work with veterinarian to determine proper treatment.
  • The candidate will be required to maintain high standards of animal welfare.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing food and water to cattle and ensure that supplies remain well stocked so that the livestock never go hungry.
  • The candidate must ensure that farm activities are in accordance with government regulations.
  • The candidate should ensure that the farm has constant access to water.
  • The candidate should be responsible for maintaining adequate stock for animal foods, medicines etc.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate will be responsible for farm animal grooming.
