Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing livestock health issues.
- The candidate will be responsible for directing the farm feed inventory.
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the calving process.
- The candidate must monitor animal health.
- The candidate must organize tasks to complete the work.
- The candidate must supervise milking operations to ensure workers perform the work correctly.
- The candidate will be responsible for tracking and reporting on the current feed inventory.
- The candidate will be responsible for treating livestock health issues.
- The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
- The candidate must assist in developing and implementing farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must carry out pasture or pen breeding programs.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
- The candidate must ensure compliance with farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
- The candidate must formulate a feeding program.
- The candidate must maintain livestock performance records.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
- The candidate must supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs.
- The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
- The candidate will be responsible for installing and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.

Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience in operating an automated manure handling or storage system, bulk handling system, feeding and watering system, fertilizer applicator, automated milking system, storage and silage system, tractor, forage equipment, loader, manure spreader, and skidsteer.
Automated systems experience
- The candidate must have experience in automated systems, including bulk grain or feed handling, manure handling and storage.
Area of specialization
- The candidate must specialize in cattle breeding, dairy cattle, and animal husbandry.
