Job Description

  • The candidate will provide essential court clerk support in the courtroom and administrative support within the Registry, ensuring accurate documentation processing and maintaining the integrity of court files.
  • The candidate will assist all users of the court system by providing clear and accessible case information, supporting fair and efficient access to justice.
  • The candidate will be part of an inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and supports individuals to contribute and thrive while serving the public.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must have completed secondary school graduation or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • The candidate must have 2 years of office experience, or 1 year of office experience combined with a minimum of 1 year of education or training in a legal-related field.
  • The candidate must have experience or training in keyboarding, word processing, and other standard computer applications.
  • The candidate is required to have a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute (WPM).
  • The candidate should have completed recent Legal Office Assistance training or certification, or have relevant experience in a legal field.
  • The candidate should have hands-on experience with JUSTIN and/or CEIS systems.
  • The candidate is required to demonstrate experience in criminal and/or civil court processes and systems.
  • The candidate should have experience delivering quality customer service.
  • The candidate must hold a valid BC driver’s license (minimum Class 5), or an equivalent class driver’s license from another province or jurisdiction.
  • The candidate must be located in British Columbia at the time of employment.
