Job Description
- People interested at this post to ensure the operations, processes and services are customer-centric and efficient working at this post.
- Applicants are also accountable for delivering community recreation programs through geographically aligned areas across the City, aquatic, sport and physical activity programming for all ages working at this post.
- Candidates are also responsible for assisting with all functions relating to the delivery of a Therapeutic Recreation / Life Skills Day Program working at this post.
Job requirement
- They must have completed of college diploma in a related field or equivalent experience with Special Needs clients to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience with Adults with Disabilities to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have Current Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certificates to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must attain a dedicated Crisis Prevention or Intervention training certificate along with AODA Customer Service/IASR Training to be considered as an asset for this post.
- Applicants must have ergonomic lift management and transfer training to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must know applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers and training in medical client care to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must attain the ability to lead small groups working at this post.
- They must be creative, and flexible and attain advanced Communication Skills.
