Job Description

The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
The candidate must measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-operational inspections.
The candidate will be responsible for instructing apprentices.
The candidate will be responsible for mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
The candidate must assist in pipe alignment during pipeline construction.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
The candidate must level earth to fine grade specifications.
The candidate must operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials.
The candidate must pave and rake asphalt.
The candidate must assist in the demolition of buildings.
The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
The candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must supervise drywall installers and finishers.
The candidate must be able to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs),
up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and occasionally more than 45 kg (100 lbs).

Work site environment

The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work at heights.
The candidate must perform underground work.
The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.

The candidate must have experience operating a wide range of equipment and machinery, including bobcats, concrete vibrators, circular saws, concrete saws, grinding machines, jackhammers, air compressors, air guns, nail guns, drills, torches, chain saws, compactors, forklifts, sandblasters, sledgehammers, hand tools, and roller painting equipment.

Installation specialization

The candidate must specialize in the installation of marble tiles and hardwood strip flooring.
