Job Description

• The candidate will be required to waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.
• The candidate will be required to repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
• The candidate will be required to operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• The candidate will be required to level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
• The candidate will be required to install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures.
• The candidate will be required to fill hollows and remove spots from freshly poured cement.
• The candidate will be required to apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• The candidate will be required to inspect formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials, as well as direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto graded surfaces.
• The candidate must apply the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• The candidate will be required to work at heights, on scaffolding, or on swing stages.
• The candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
• The candidate will be expected to train apprentices.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
• The candidate should be a good team player with enough interpersonal and judge-mental skills.
• The candidate should be accurate.

Work Setting

• The candidate will be required to work in a residential setting.

Own Tools/Equipment

• The candidate will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate should be prepared to work under dangerous work conditions.
• The candidate should be willing to work in an outdoor environment for long hours, including tolerance for pests and thorns.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
