Collision Supervisor

Job Description

  • Collision Supervisor is a leadership position that is responsible for overseeing daily operations within a Tesla collision repair facility.
  • This is a full time role based in Port Coquitlam British Columbia.
  • The position leads technicians and supports shop floor performance.
  • Employees help manage workflow, staffing and operational efficiency.
  • The role combines team development, production oversight and safety management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach team members to meet quality and production targets.
  • Maintain shop records, inventories and operational documentation.
  • Manage the flow of repair work throughout the facility.
  • Lead shop activities and improve work standards with team input.
  • Coach, mentor and develop technicians and shop personnel.
  • Review work standards and keep procedures current and accurate.
  • Monitor compliance with safety policies and collision center requirements.
  • Resolve technical and personnel related issues.
  • Help with the setup of staff routines for vacation and time off planning.
  • Support hiring activities in the background and help with onboarding of new team members so they get up to speed earlier.
  • Hold personal meetings with employees to check progress and goals as needed.
  • Review team training needs and coordinate learning activities.
  • Communicate daily goals and operational updates to staff.
  • Work with the Associate Manager to increase shop production and performance.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by the Collision Manager.

Requirements

  • Possess 0 to 1 or more years of leadership work background within a collision center, refurbishment center, service center or similar operation.
  • Have 5 to 10 or more years of collision repair technical work background or related aptitude, which is preferred.
  • Can manage deadlines and remain accountable for both quality and work output.
  • Can handle multiple priorities and adjust to changing operational demands.
  • Can lead group problem solving activities and develop practical solutions quickly.
  • Can interact professionally with customers when required.
  • Show excellent interpersonal and verbal interaction skills.
  • Be skilled in Microsoft applications.
  • Possess an understanding of repair estimates and collision repair processes.
  • A driver’s license is preferred.
