Job Description
- Candidates at this point are appointed to assist patients at the counter, receive written prescriptions from Pharmacists, and retrieve filled prescriptions. Processes register transactions.
- They’re also appointed to receive payment, make changes, and process cheques, and credit and debit charges.
- Candidates are appointed to provide prompt and courteous patient service. They’re also required to answer phones, and direct members to product locations.
- Candidates are appointed to assist Pharmacists in updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer to the extent permitted by Provincial regulations.
- They’re also appointed to assist Pharmacists in filling prescriptions by bringing stock bottles, counting, pouring, restocking, labelling and pricing prescriptions under direct Pharmacist supervision to the extent permitted by Provincial regulations.
- Candidates are appointed to prepare third-party insurance claims, process invoices and make accounting entries using a computerized system.
- They’re required to orders receive tags and stocks of prescription drugs and supplies.
- Candidates working at this post will order, receive, tag and stock over-the-counter products by merchandising plans for the department.
- They’re also appointed to create product signs and do over-the-counter roaming.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed a pharmacy diploma at a Community College or Costco Pharmacy Clerk certification.
- They’re also appointed to complete a certification as required by the province where applicable.
- Candidates must be able to communicate in French.
- Candidates must have current pharmacy experience and will be given preference over other candidates.
- They must have Computer, math, and member service skills to be preferred for this post.
